September 1, is the final date for the Apple’sSpecial event to address upcoming products and services including next gen iPod Touch 4G with FaceTime camera, $99 Apple iTV, 99-cent TV rental service and iTunes in cloud. The event will take place in San Francisco on Sept 1 at 10AM Pacific Time / 1PM Eastern Time. Hopefully, the company also covers the availability of White iPhone 4 which is delayed and rumored by the end year.
Products and services Apple will be addressing in the Event are:
- New iPod touch 4G: Bringing new features similar to iPhone 4 in iPod Touch, like FaceTime camera, A4 processor, improved battery support and gyroscope.
- iOS-driven Apple TV: The new iTV will run iOS and will allow access to software on the App Store. The price starts from $99. iTV is optimized for streaming, rather than downloading, video content. It is rumored that iTV will turn the iPad into a remote control as the “preferred input device.”
- 99-cent TV shows rental: Apple is set to begin a new rental service that would let iPad, iPhone and iPod users to rent current TV programs for only 99-cents for 48 hours each.
- Cloud-enhanced iTunes service: Cloud based iTunes service is aso expected to be announced and service will begin by year end.
Earlier, there were many rumors about this event, which initially was rumored by mid- august, then it was stated by Bloomberg that the event will take place on September 7, but finally Apple has sent invites of September 1 of the event.
