Fake Greenpois0n, SHAtter iOS 4.1 Jailbreak Blowing Trojan Virus and Stealing Passwords!

After jailbreaking being legal and Greenpois0n, SHAtter jailbreak at hype for Jailbreaking iOS 4.1/ iOS 4.2 for iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G, Cyber-criminals are taking advantage of this hype and spreading fake greenpois0n to push Trojan viruses along with fake tool with greenpois0n names and stealing passwords of the users from their computers. There are many fake videos also available claiming jailbreaking iOS 4.1 with greenpois0n too. The real tool or jailbreak is still yet to come and will be released only by Dev Team.

According to Costin Raiu, security expert at Kapersey Labs, a new spam campaign is currently circulating which is advertising a Trojan virus as an iPhone jailbreaking program “Greenpois0n”. Many iDevices users are unknowingly downloading such code and are tricked by these Trojans and losing their personal information such as usernames, passwords, bank accounts information, such as pin number, bank account numbers and passwords. Apart from this, some fake websites are selling jailbreak for iPhone 4 costing around $25 to $40.

Those who are not aware of, Pod2g has discovered an SHAtter exploit to jailbreak iOS 4.1/ iOS 4.2 on all iDevcies including iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch 4G forever. It will be used with p0sixninja’s Greenpois0n cross-platform iBoot payload toolkit to help hackers discover new vulnerabilities and design super fast, low-level iBoot jailbreaks and exploit payloads. The team has successfully tested Greenpois0n and SHAtter exploit on iPhone 4 and it is expected to be released soon.

So, don’t trust any other information claiming greenpois0n download and jailbreaking. If you get any such emails, don’t open such emails. And the jailbreaks are always free (thanks to Hackers Dev Teams), so please don’t ever get fooled by any fake websites claiming jailbreaks. We just want everyone to be aware of these facts and you can also contribute to aware others and stop this Trojan from spreading by retweeting this post. jailbreaking is the process of putting cydia on your ipod which is an alternative appstore like app.. what jailbreaking your iDevice does is let you control your device how “YOU” feel nessesary and not controlled by an outside force (aka) apple… you are able to add themes to your homescreen, add multitasking and wallpapers to ipod 2g's and iphone 3g's apple “claims” the hardware isnt there but there only bullshitting you to buy there new products which really doesnt have much shit added to it hope i helped and good luck jailbreaking =]

Or…more simply put, it gives you root access to your device. By giving you root access, you can install ANY app, or tweak (provided it's compatible with iOS).
