In the today’s press conference by Apple, Steve Jobs revealed the information that there are only 0.55% customers have reported the antenna problem to AppleCare. For the unsatisfied customers Steve has announced the options for return the phone in 30 days and Apple will refund full money or Apple will provide free cases for iPhone 4. The choice is with the customers to select one.
Steve also disclosed some facts about iPhone 3GS and compared its data with iPhone 4. He stated the fact that iPhone 4 is superior to the 3GS antenna and it drops more calls per 100 than the 3GS. Additionally, iPhone 4 drops less than one additional call per 100 than the 3GS.
According to Steve not only iPhone other smartphone like Nokia, Motorola, Samsung and other phones have the same issue. To prove he provided stats of BlackBerry Bold 9700 and HTC Droid Eris focused that these smartphones also looses reception if their positions are changed in different directions.
