GreenPois0n SHAtter to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G, iPad 3.2.2 & AppleTV 2G Only!

As the Dev Team has finally announced the completion of greenpois0n iOS 4.1 Jailbreak and ETA, the important thing that Dev Team has announced along with it is greenpois0n Jailbreak can only be used for 4th Generation iDevices. That means only iPhone 4, iPod Touch 4G running on iOS 4.1, iPad on iOS 3.2.2 and Apple TV 2G. No other device can be jailbroken with greenpois0n jailbreak. Chpwn, has initially confirmed this news and then Chronic Team also says it works only for 4th Gen devices.

The Team has also updated that Comex will deliver a jailbreak for iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch 3G. That exploit may work for iOS 4.2 also. GreenPois0n jailbreak for iOS 4.1 will be an untethered jailbreak and you can also hacktivate your device with greenpois0n. However, it will not unlock your device. For unlocking you need to wait for the unlock tool on which Dev Team is working and will also release it once complete.

However, Redsn0w 0.9.6 jailbreak for iOS 4.1 on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G is just released. Well said. A lot of 3gs owners who were stuck on 4.01 or 4.02 without a jailbreak were waiting for this exploit as it allegedly was able to JB all current models for life. It’s not like they just discovered that the exploit would only work on A4 processors yesterday. Not giving us that information was a BS move.

They advertised this jailbreak as being able to JB ALL current devices. The fact that they said shatter could ALSO jb the apple TV 2G and 4G ipod touch means that they originally did not plan the exploit to be able to JB those devices. It boils down to this, they shouldn’t have advertised the exploit as being able to JB ALL devices when they knew well in advance that it was only going to work on the fourth gen devices.

My opinion of the dev team totally changed. They never should have kept such info as “Supported Devices” from followers. Either they are complete a $ $ holes or completely incompetent.

DEVS SAVE YOURSELVES and make your JB compatible with more than just the newest devices. Or was there a KICKBACK FROM APPLE?????????????????????????????????????????

Regardless of whether they’re doing this for free or for a fee. The fact is that they didnt tell us what devices the exploit could be used to JB. How would you feel if comex decided to release a 4.1 JB for 3GS and an hour before release he said that it was only for user who bought a 3GS between Aug 1st and Aug 2nd 2009?

If you are so fired up to get a 3G jailbreak, sit down at your computer, spend countless hours writing code, and then debugging it, and then get comments from ungrateful slime balls who EXPECT the world handed to them.
