After jailbreaking and unlocking their iPhone, some users are facing emergency mode issue on inserting SIM in iPhone and they are not able to activate their phones. The iPhone is not able to detect the SIM card and the phone shows Emergency mode with a message “Different SIM Detected”. The activation of the iPhone is not working with phonebook sim card. Sharif Hashim from Dev Team was troubleshooting the issue and provided the solution for the emergency mode problem. Just follow these simple instructions to resolve the issue.

Fix Emergency Mode Issue (Activation with Phonebook SIM Card) for iPhone after Jailbreak and Unlock:
Step 1: Download ifunbox software from the given link.
http://www.pars-gsm.com/Downloads/ifunbox_en.zip
Step 2: Extract the Zip and run software. Sync with your phone.
Step 3: Download Lockdown.zip file from here and save it to your desktop.
Step 4: Now go to /private/var/root/Library/ and replace the original lockdown folder with the downloaded lockdown folder.
Step 5: Reboot your iPhone.
The emergency mode started occurring just 2 days back as Apple has fixed it as reported by Sharif in a tweet. But now he has fixed the issue with the emergency mode so, you can restore your phone again.

Apple has also fixed the security issue in PDF due to which the JailbreakMe was able to jailbreak iOS 4. However, iOS 4.0.2 with the fix is not out yet, but once the fix is released, it will patch the security hole and users will not be further able to jailbreak iPhone , iPad and iPod Touch using JailbreakMe.com.
