GreenPois0n SHAtter iOS 4.1 jailbreak will hacktivate your iPhone, iPod Touch after jailbreaking. That means iPhone users who do not have an official SIM card can also activate their iPhone after jailbreaking it. The confirmation came from p0sixninja that greenpois0n will also hacktivate iPhone when one of the user asked about it.
Those who are not ware, Hacktivation is the process of circumventing the standard Apple activation process with iTunes. It is required when we use an iPhone without an authorized carrier. Most of the jailbreaking tools support hacktivation except few like userland jailbreak such as Spirit and JailbreakMe as these can only be used after activation of device. There are different methods by which you can hacktivate your device like using a phonebook SIM card and connecting to iTunes and syncing the phone, restoring with a custom IPSW, using redsn0w or blackra1n on compatible devices.
However, the Dev Team and members have not yet given any ETA for the release of greenpois0n jailbreak the team says that it will be released very soon.
